Our Favorite Places in Homer Glen

One of our family’s favorite places in Homer Glen is Konow Farm, located near 167th and Cedar Road. We love going to Konow’s Farm & Fall Fest. The Fest offers endless opportunities to put a smile on your face. Get lost in one of two corn mazes and let the kids roll around in the corn pit. Other activities at the farm include an animal barn, hayrides, a straw playground, a pedal tractor track, cow train express, the grain train and for the braves ones; a mechanical bull ride! Homer Glen has many parks and athletic clubs, including the Homer Athletic Club, Homer Stallions Football and Lacrosse, Homer Heat Baseball. The Village finished construction of its first trail system, the Homer Glen Heroes Trail, in late 2011. The trail is dedicated to local heroes and individuals that have made a positive impact on the community. The first event to take place on the Trail was the Mike Hike 5k, which honored local resident PFC Michael C. Olivieri, who lost his life while serving in Iraq in June 2011.
